It’s no secret that banking has changed for everyone over the last 10 years with the growth of the internet and on device apps. This in turn has seen a change to the way we use our high street banks and building societies, in 2018 we helped Nationwide Building Society on a journey to deliver better in branch access to assist their customers to embrace, learn or even just speed up the in branch transactions. We provide a flexible yet secure iPad security system using our Vise5 S+ and Vise HD solutions. The look and feel of the branches is now very inviting and friendly which stands out from the competition.
Shaw Communications, Western Canada
In 2016, Shaw Communications from Calgary acquired what is known as Freedom Mobile. RTF has been supplying Freedom for years prior with security solutions for their live demo devices. This allowed Shaw to enter the mobile device retail market. While Freedom Mobile is planned to remain an independent brand, Shaw launched Shaw-branded stores in Western Canada in 2020 and ongoing. These are large size “flagship stores” which not only showcase mobile communication but also other Shaw products and services. The challenge has been to integrate device security in ultra modern store fixtures providing a high-end look and feel. RTF developed Vise5 28, the latest addition to our trusted Vise5 line. The devices are literally perched up from the store fixture and invite customers to interact with them. Our recoiler system allows for smooth lifting and inspection of the phones and tablets, giving the shopper a highly interactive experience while preventing theft.
Milwaukee Tool Display
As one of North America’s favourite brands, Milwaukee provides hardware stores with a display unit showcasing the wide variety of power tools they offer. These high quality tools are a precious prize for thieves. In the past, many were locked up behind glass doors. RTF developed an adaptation of our trusted recoiler system that allows the consumer to lift and touch the tools freely thanks to the smooth action of our recoiler that offers minimum resistance when handling the merchandise. Besides providing a “Level 3” theft prevention, the location of the recoilers ensures that tools are being returned to their designated location thus ensuring a clean and organized look for the next shopper.
Hewlett-Packard, Chile
With the renaissance of the laptop, retailers scrambled to update the displays of their machines. HP operates their own retail stores in many countries and RTF is conducting a pilot test at their stores in Chile. They use our Vise HDL security fixture. The challenge has been to keep the laptops neatly organized on the display tables while allowing consumers to interact with the computer, including closing and opening the lid. Vise HDL met this challenge. It is replacing steel cables and chains which create, yes an interactive, but a very messy display. Furthermore, Vide HDL provides higher theft protection than a steel cable that can be cut.
Home Hardware
Home Hardware is a Canadian-owned hardware retailer, carrying a variety of valuable power tools and accessories. They wanted a security solution that provided protection against theft while not impacting the customer experience. RTF Global created a customized solution using our Tool Guard™️ recoilers and locking hooks that integrated into their current retail displays. Our anti-theft devices helped to reduce shrinkage without impacting sales.
Telco Retailer, USA
The video shows an unsuccessful attempt to steal valuable smartphones from a retail store. Thanks to RTF Vise protection, the thieves were only able to capture some accessories, not 1,000s of Dollars worth of smartphones.

As the largest wireless retailer in Canada, Rogers operates over 250 locations, and smartphones are one of their highest-selling products.
